Happy Birthday Lizzie

DD Lizzie turned 19 on Sunday! Wow where did the years go? She loves Penguins and she LOVES< LOVES Ice Cream! So her birthday card has both.

The adorable penguin is a part of a set from My Scrap Chick called Beach Penguins. Some of her favorite flavors are here - Chocolate Moose tracks, Lemon Ice, Strawberry and Mint Chocolate Chip!. Just Chillin was jazzed up with a bit of crystal effects along with her sunglasses. The Just chillin' is from Create a Critter (one of my favorite carts). The paper is from DCWV Fun in the Sun Summer Stack that I picked up ages ago.

Inside the card I used Nifty Fifties for the words but needed Printing 101 for the plus and equal sing. The enjoy is from Wild Card and the Ice Cream cones are from Sweet Treats.

I made a homemade Ice Cream Cake of Cookies and Cream ice cream, Oreo Cookies, Crushed Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Hot Fudge and Chocolate Toffee. The 9 x 13 pan only had 2 pieces left by morning so I think it was a hit! :)

Off to Art Club today! I've got stuff piled up digitally for the blog and hopefully I'll have time to get it up this week!

Cards for Care Packages

Here are the cards I've got done for the care packages. I've got a couple more I'd like to do, but we are putting them together tonight. We see how the afternoon goes. The Pink card is Gable Green and Pixie Pink Stampin Up Paper. The background is a Stampin up Itty Bitty background stamp and the words from a Greeting Farm set. The butterfly is from a little stationary set I got from a book fair a million years ago when I was still working. The white cards I used one of the A2 Gate fold Cards from SVG CUTS. I the front through the Texture Boutique with the Heart folder. The hearts are from Wild Card the paper is also Stampin Up, Pretty in Pink. I have a guest post tonight. Wait til you see. It's so BEAUTIFUL!

Quickie Card

So I had a belated wedding shower this morning and needed a quickie card. So I used the cake couple from the Wild Card Cart and then cut 3 layers from one of Penny Duncan's Nesties. I ran the top one through my Sizzix Texture Boutique with my hearts folder. I sprayed it with some shimmer mist. While it dried, I ran and got dressed. Popped it on a DCWV Cards and added a few hearts. Whew!

90th Birthday

Our dear Pastor Gerber celebrated his 90th Birthday yesterday. I wanted to do something super special for this wonderful man. We have been so honor to work along side him. I used an Old Summertime Pack from DCWV paper. On the front I used a Cake from the cart From my Kitchen and the worlds from Wild Card. On the inside I used a cut file from Just for Sharing. Sadly she doesn't post anymore. I had just discovered her too. I used Zoo Balloo Cart for the Happy Birthday, Storybook for the 90 and the edging on the cake and a Child's Year for the Candles. I blinged the candles with a little Stickles.

No Pop! ;)

A big No- No on the XC team is drinking pop during the season. Especially Mountian Dew! Of course it never gets drank. (Wink, Wink, Nudge, Nudge). However, it always shows in their times when they do. The letters are Mickey Mouse Cart and the Eyes are from Wild Card.

So today at Hollie's House of Hug I worked on 2 presents. One for my daughter and one for my niece. I'm almost done and getting ready to work on them again. Hopefully I'll also get DD's XC scrapbook finished today too. Picked up pictures from Walgreens. Tomorrow I need to work on Graduation Party. Did I mention DD is #3 in her class. Woot!

The font is from Wild Card. The Heart is a leftover from one of my daughter's projects.

Criminger Christmas (July 09 # 29 & # 30)

Tried a few things on these pages. The one frame is from Wildcard page 16? and the other frames are from Mamaw's Legacy Deco 09 Frame Inside and Out. The smaller frames I cut down and layer over each other to make them fit on the page better. The little poodle is from Denise's Scrapbooking Room. I gave my sister-n-law a sweatshirt with her Princess Poodle Rosie on it. The Other page font is Fishbowl.
