It's Mario Time!

This is the card I made for my nephew's 9th birthday last week.
I have to say it's one of my favorite cards ever! It was a blast to make.
I pulled a screen shot off the internet and printed it on my card stock for my background.
I then used several files from Mardenz. I did take about her box file and remove the
question mark and put in the letters to Spell - Happy Birthday Clayton. I added a coin bouncing out of one of the boxes.
He thought the card was very cool!

Hello Again

I realize it's been a while since I've posted. Life has been very crazy this fall in my household. DH & I just finished the fall yard clean up except for the never ending job of mulching leaves. LOL

One of the major things last month was my Dad having open heart surgery to fix a valve.
I gave him a card for each day at the hospital. Unfortunately he stayed 1 more day than I made cards!

Here are a couple of the cards I made
The first Card I used a files from Mardenz for the Tin Man. I used my Circut Markers to outline and then cut it out. I never could my the face like I wanted so I just printed off a picture of the Movie's Tin Man. I just cut leftover metallic Yellow paper for the bricks.

I used the SVG file from Vicki at BGlad Papercrafts for this card. I also used the the Amazing Duo stamp set from Greeting Farm.

My Dad is doing great and still recovering at home.

Annabelle's Birthday Card

So our worship pastor's youngest daughter has been asking me since Christmas if I have her birthday card done and what I am getting her for her birthday. Her 5th birthday is Sunday and I finished her card today. She is such a sweetie. I've got her a Belle pillow and Fleece Blanket set so her card is to go along with the gift.

Both Belles are from the very talented Mardenz. I used a slew of Carts on this card.

Castle was Paper Doll Dress Up
Hills - Country Life
Bridge and 2 of the Trees - Pagoda
Grass and Flowers - Create a Critter
Leafy Trees - Serenade
Royal Celebration & Birthday Princess - Birthday Cake
Just for You - Stamping Solutions

I had the castle and both Belle's already cut and assembled and the rest of the card
took me 4 hours to finish. I had a blast making it!

Church Pianist

Betty has been a church pianist for 63 years. Her health is getting to the point where she will be retiring tomorrow. This is the card I made for her. It took a lot longer to finish but I am very happy with the result. The Grand Piano is from Mardenz and the notes are in SCAL 2's library. The pop up piano is a Jennie-Bean. The Music stand I took from a photo. After tweaking it best a could I'm pretty happy with it. I scanned music from an very old hymnal.

Birthday Card for Cousin

Here is the birthday card I made for one of my cousins. His birthday is tomorrow and he would give me all kinds of grief if I didn't have a card ready for him at the wedding. Yes he is very ornery. Anyway I love how it came out. I used Print Shop for the words and newspaper guy. Calvin is from Mardenz.

Girl Vs Wild

Ever watch the show Man vs. Wild with Bear Grylls? We do and the girls took off doing a video version of their own in my parent's 7 acre yard. Lucky for me they also took a picures. Now to figure out how to put video onto a scrapbook page. Hmmm. (wheels turning). The elk are from Mardenz. The Illinois is from a font. The letters are Stamped and Mickey Mouse Font carts.

Curiouser & Curiouser

Back in April, we went to my folks for spring break and the girls took about 50 really bizarre & artsy pictures. When Mardenz loaded her Alice in Wonderland cuts I knew I had the perfect pictures to go with them. Problem I had was picking which pictures to use. This page took me about 3 hours to finish. Lots of little pieces.

Hoop Jam (July 09 # 31)

The yearly dance in February at the high school. It a casually dance. My daughter didn't take her camera so all I had was the one picture at home. Still really like how the the page turned out anyway. The Hoop is from Sport's Mania. Jam was done in SCAL with a fun font called Horseshoes and Lemonade. The Dance border and other sticker was a gift from Holllie. The Music Notes are another Mardenz file.
