More Christmas Cards.

Here are a couple of card I created yesterday. It was so nice to be able to just putz around the art room and experiment. It was so nice to have a quiet day when I felt good to do that. The first card is an angel from Stampin Up. I don't know what set. It is a friend's.
The 2nd card is the Poinsettias from Joys of the Season Cart at 2 1/2. I got the golden middles cut using the hide contour feature in Design Studio. Merry Christmas is from the Stampin Up set Cardinal Christmas. I punch it out using their punch and then found a similar scallop in Storybook Cart for the Shadow.

Excellence

I've got a houseful of teenagers in my house for a after Homecoming Party so I cut this out to help keep myself awake. The saying came from Brittney's Excellent WordArt2 . The Runner's are silhouette's from a photo of Cassie. I like how it turned out.

Really getting Creative

So today I've been under the "gun" with old man time. I left the house at 7 a.m. to head to my daughter's XC meet 2 1/2 hours away. I got to drive through really thick fog all the way. Yeah! Not! Got there for 15 minutes before the race. Then raced home through thunderstorms to try and get her ready for her Senior Homecoming Dance. (We had 1 hour for her to shower, fix her hair, & get dressed) On the way home we realized what Mom forgot at the store yesterday. Double stick body tape!!! So I had an idea! My ATG gun! It worked great. Who knew?

PS if you need more adhesive alternative uses. A Zots Pop-Up Dot will pull a bee sting out of the skin. :)

The vinyl in my Daughter's Room

Here is the vinyl that I put up last night in my daughter's bedroom. I'll be gone for the next couple of days as I head to the Mayo Clinic for my Lupus Check up. I've got some stuff to color in the card for Christmas cards and I'll have my laptop to work on some vinyl layouts and cards while I'm up there. (Between Tests)

Tickled this worked so well!

I'm so tickled that this cut worked so well. The runner silhouette's are actually from photos of my daughter at a
Cross Country match. I cropped the photos (I used 2 different ones) in Print Shop using the freehand tool. I saved the pictures in a new file (important if you don't want to lose your originally photo). Then I trace the photo in Sure-Cuts-A Lot 2 and turned them into Blackout. I decided to put my words into the background. I put paper that has my daughter's school name on it. The paper comes from a wonderful little scrapbook store in Spring Valley, IL.

Here are some fun cards that I made using some Dustin Pike files.
The Beware card is for my friend Lauri's birthday on tuesday.
I haven't colored in forever and really enjoyed it this week. I'll have to make sure
I've got some coloring to do next week at Mayo's.

Shudder & Swing Cards

Here is two Christmas Cards I've made using some Penny Duncan's files. I really had a time with the first one. It started off so awful. I finally put it away for a day and then tore it apart and started over. The Swing Card has a manger cut off of the Craft Edge forum. I'm sorry I don't know whose it it.

A Child's Year

Cut some stuff out a few weeks ago when my friend Hollie got A Child's Year Cartridge. May a few cards out of them today.

Joe Cool

I love this card. I made it for a very special young lady named Sophie who turned 9 years old today.
The cut came from Mardenz. She does awesome stuff. I put the file onto a 12 x 24 mat so I could make it big.
The font is Dupay from computer.
