New tool/toy?

So I got my Mother's day present early! A new custom art table. I've had a plan laid out on what I wanted for quite a while. We were in Menard's and all the stuff of on sale so we went ahead and got it. Didn't take long to get it put together thanks to a friend who cut the pieces the size I needed. I'm pretty excited! Can't wait to make a mess. LOL A couple of card I did on Tuesday's Art Club are on the counter top. The graphic far right is Greeting Farm, but I have no idea from whence the others came .

Some Fun with Dustin Pike Images

Yesterday at ArtClub was really awesome, but I got very little done. I had missed the week before and it was just good to catch up with everyone. Then we got the nice surprise of having Shelly & John dropping in to say hey. They are up from Florida for her Grandma's funeral.
I did get a couple of cards done.

The first Card is for my daughter, Lizzie. She is an Art student. The card just sort of happened. I had the flu while she was home for spring break which was a bummer and colored a bunch of images digital and rubber. I had intended the butterfly and "flowers" for another card but they just seemed to work. Steampunked Dudley is of course from Dustin Pike. I just love him. I used stickles and crystal affects on some of the pieces for dimension. The butterfly is a stampin up stamp and I'm not sure on the other stamps.

The card using another Dustin Pike images is for my Brother and his wife. Her mother and Step-Dad are in the processing of moving in with them. I think it will be quite the adventure and quite an adjustment for all of them. I started this card as an Easter card for one of their boys, but after I had the front I changed my mind. The front seemed to say life with family isn't always what you expect but that doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy and cherish it. DH dropped them both in the mail this morning. So hopefully they will be bringing some smiles soon.

Home again, Home again Jiggity Jog!

So DH and I were gone last week in Arkansas at the Christian Motorcycle Associations Pastor/Spouse Retreat. It was wonderful and just blessed our socks off. This week I probably won't have much art created as I am going to try and get all my Spring Cleaning done.
Here is a couple of things from the last Art Club I was at. I really like the background of the first card.
The digital image is from Elisabeth Bell. I was playing around
with a friend's new textured plate on her Big Shot. I used a 3 colored Brilliance pad over the embossing and really like how it came out.

This bear I've had stamped forever and finally used. The word is from New Arrival cart.

Spring Break Surprise!

DD is on her way home for Spring Break! I am so excited to get to spend next week with her! She has mentioned several times that she has seen "Robin's Eggs" in the store already! It's one of her favorite Spring Treats. So I picked up a bag at the store yesterday and make this lovely package for it do go into. All the files are My Scrap Chick! There stuff is 60% off on orders over $20! How cool it that. I used the the Bigger Bags for my Base and one little guy from the Easter Bunny set and one from the Easter Chick set.

Annabelle's Birthday Card

So our worship pastor's youngest daughter has been asking me since Christmas if I have her birthday card done and what I am getting her for her birthday. Her 5th birthday is Sunday and I finished her card today. She is such a sweetie. I've got her a Belle pillow and Fleece Blanket set so her card is to go along with the gift.

Both Belles are from the very talented Mardenz. I used a slew of Carts on this card.

Castle was Paper Doll Dress Up
Hills - Country Life
Bridge and 2 of the Trees - Pagoda
Grass and Flowers - Create a Critter
Leafy Trees - Serenade
Royal Celebration & Birthday Princess - Birthday Cake
Just for You - Stamping Solutions

I had the castle and both Belle's already cut and assembled and the rest of the card
took me 4 hours to finish. I had a blast making it!
