Quickie Card

So I had a belated wedding shower this morning and needed a quickie card. So I used the cake couple from the Wild Card Cart and then cut 3 layers from one of Penny Duncan's Nesties. I ran the top one through my Sizzix Texture Boutique with my hearts folder. I sprayed it with some shimmer mist. While it dried, I ran and got dressed. Popped it on a DCWV Cards and added a few hearts. Whew!

90th Birthday

Our dear Pastor Gerber celebrated his 90th Birthday yesterday. I wanted to do something super special for this wonderful man. We have been so honor to work along side him. I used an Old Summertime Pack from DCWV paper. On the front I used a Cake from the cart From my Kitchen and the worlds from Wild Card. On the inside I used a cut file from Just for Sharing. Sadly she doesn't post anymore. I had just discovered her too. I used Zoo Balloo Cart for the Happy Birthday, Storybook for the 90 and the edging on the cake and a Child's Year for the Candles. I blinged the candles with a little Stickles.

Domestic Goddess Swap

Here is my apron I made for Celeste in the ArtHaven's Demestic Goddess Swap. We used a template from Stampington.com. Penny was a jewel and made up a handy dandy SVG for it. I used my Rustic Rooster Stamp Set from Stampin UP. The ink color is Red Hood Red. Yeah it's back!

Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

I have been a very good girl this year. I worked really hard on planning a graduation and a wedding and I had to keep my house clean for a whole 2 1/2 months. For Christmas this year, I would really, really love one of these! Please!

Another Christmas Stock

Here is another Christmas stocking. It is a baby gift for the little boy for whom I made the lil' cowpoke card. I've got another 10 stockings cut out but I'm not starting to sew them until the air conditioning is fixed. LOL

New Greeting Farm Stamps

The Greeting Farm put several stamps in their clearance section and I snapped them up. The first one also has little fire engines from Everyday Paperdolls. I welded them together in Design studio. The 2nd one has a flourish I cut at my Mother's last week. It was either, Home Accents or Home Decor I think. 80! I did 15 quarts of corn for the freezer today and picked my first tomoato from the garden. It's still hot. at 10 p.m. the heat index is still 93.

The words came from the Old West cart which was a wonderful surprise from my friend Hollie! I love, love how it came out. I've got to get the baby shower present made before tomorrow night.

Fun with Mother

I am spending a few days with my folks and then heading to a Reunion.

Mother & I have been playing around with the Cricut and the Sissex Texture Boutique. Look at how my Mother used a border folder on just the table of the first picture. Love how it came out. The pictures out from A Child's Year Cart. She has also been making some really cute paper bows, but we haven't managed to take a decent picture. Oh Well.

Finding use for leftovers

The trees in these cards are leftovers from cutting something else out on the cricut. I wish I could remember what the orginal cut was but I can't. I saw the leftover and they look like trees! I ran them throught the Big Shot.

Whooo's special

Here is a card I made for my nephew. I had stamped the image and colored it eons ago. My friend and I stopped at the new Rubber Rainbow store in Tremont, IL. We will miss running to Galsburg to see Marge and wish her the most in her retirement. But we are tickled that Rubber Rainbows still is here. She bought the cute "For someone Whooo's special" stamp there. The bottom of the black base I used a cuttlebug border embossing folder on it. I used a bronze stamp over it to give it a little shine.
