AWOL

So Sorry I have been AWOL for a while. I have been crafted believe it or not. I've been working on finishing up my daughter's graduation cards and the "packaging for the gifts for Teacher Appreciation week. I've got one day done, and 2 days are have done. I'm taking a break and working on some other graduation cards right now. Man life is crazy. A kitty adopted us last week. Buttons is a cutie. Probably 3 months old. Taking him to the vet this week for a check up and hopefully everything will be fine. He was almost starved when he showed up. Boy little fellow. My to do list. Graduation Cards for High School and 8th Grade
Teacher Appreciation
Birthday Cards for Nephews & My Daddy
Plan daughter's Graduation Party and get the supplies
Finish planting garden
Remove weeds from Herb Garden
Get Camera & Daughter ready for Prom
Clean Basement
Boxes for Wedding Reception
Yeah I already tired. I'll try to post some pictures this week. But don't hold your breath.

Bridal Shower

Sunday was the Brial Shower at church for my future daughter-in-law. The first picture is the Thank You cards that I made for my gift. I made 50 of them. I used the leftover pieces of Korean mulberry paper scraps from the wedding invitations. The 2nd card was my card to her. The bride is from SVG Cuts.
Sorry I haven't been on much. I haven't done much except this and more graduation invites. We've had something almost every night the last few weeks with Track & Stuff. I've been also trying to work in the yard. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have enough energy to till the garden and do some mulching before the rains come back.

Get Well Dane!

This is a card for one of my "kids" Dane who had his pace maker replaced last week during Spring Break. This is the card that I had my husband take to the hospital the day of the surgery. He's doing great! The Stamp set Amazing Duo from the Greeting Farm and the paper is Stampin Up!

Autumn Pages!

I went to a scrapbook retreat 2 weeks ago. I got 52 pages done. I was hoping for more, but I had a rough week physically earlier in the week and it took a while to get into my zone. I really like this 2 page spread. Most of the pictures are at my parent's that my daughter took in October.

Happy Easter!

I hope you all have a very blessed Easter day. I'm looking so forward to our worship services this morning. It's a chilly but beautiful morning. The recent rain has burst everything into blossom and bloom. The birds are singing their hearts out this morning and I intend to join in soon.
It's been a wonderful spring break and it's coming to a close. My son will be heading back to college today. (sigh) He's last spring break as a single guy. He packed up his room this week so his stuff is ready to move into the apartment when it opens up. It will be just him, his clothes, and his laptop when he comes back at the end of the semester. One more day of break for DD, except she has a track meet in the afternoon. Outdoor season starts and "Tut, Tut, It looks like rain" to quote Christopher Robin.

Here Comes the Sun

Here comes the sun. Yippe! That's the focus of the 3rd card. Since we had about 5 inches of snow over the weekend the sun was a star of Sunday as it started melting the snow. This is just black and white clipart I have on a disk a bonus from Print Shop Ensemble III. Card #1 is again the 50's couple from Greeting Farm and Card #2 is some clipcart from Print Shop.

Hoping for Spring.

Here's another couple of spring looking cards. It was beautiful here yesterday. Stood outside all afternoon and talked to the neighbors. It was wonderful. Got up this morning to snow. Hopfully it will be winters last hurrah. Both cards have Greeting Farm Stamps. The top one I used Hope & Grace set and the words from the Amazing Duo set. The paper is a 6x6 pack from Stampin up that I got as a gift. The bottom card is the Rain Rain Digital Stamp. I used one of Wanda's cut files for the folding.

More Greeting Farm Fun!

All the stamps are from the Greeting Farm. It's been nice to using the stuff I colored but I need to refocus on my daughter's scrapbook and graduation invites. I've got a retreat coming up and need to get pictures and paper ready for it.

Digital Stamps from The Greeting Farm!

I made a few cards yesterday at my Art group (Hollie's House of Hugs). Both Digital Stamps are from the Greeting Farm. I really like their stamps. The first one is my version of an Anniversary Card off the forum by sevencats. I bought these while I was sick to give me something to color. The Flower card is from Wanda!

Ahh something I haven't posted!

So I totally ripped off this idea from Jodi at Inked Impressions. I saw her card and my mind started racing a million miles a minutes. Had so much fun making it. On the cards I gave the girls at Hollie's I put the embossing powder bling on their headbands, belts and eye lashes. Here is the link for the Retro Microphone. I just used the shadow of the mic since it was so small. My Mother pointed out that it would also make a good golf club! The girls are a digital stamp from the Greeting Farm.

More Retro Stuff

So I've got a case of bronchitis 3 time this winter (Me rolling my eyes) and everytime I get up and around I start coughing so I bought some new digital stamps from the Greeting Farm so I have something artsy to do while I sit. Obviously I won't be in the art room much the next few days so I thought I would share a few cards from last January 2009 and October 2008. The top card is one of my favorite Anniversary cards I've made. It's my friend's stamp so I don't know what it is. The 2nd is a fun Birthday card. The front stamps are from Martha Stewart. The fence is a friends, but I picked up the words for something I did for my son. The bottom card I love. The background stamp is SU Belle Toile. I used a masking technique to put the words in it. The words are from SU From the Heart. Both are 2 of my favorite stamp sets.

Little Bit of the Older Stuff

Haven't done much the last couple of days since finishing the Wedding Invitations. (Sorry I'm not gonna post them until they've gone out in the mail) Mostly because we suddenly lost our cat on Saturday night and a horrible cold had wiped me out. I chilled yesterday in front of the TV watching Road to Avonlea and did some coloring. Did scrap a bit today and make a couple of cards, but I gave the cards away before I took pictures. Here are some older cards I've done that I thought I would share.
