Playing Catch UP
Been playing catch up this week now that my daughter is home. It's been a crazy week. Slept in every day and I'm still so tired. Nice thing about having her home from school is that I haven't been running and I'm finally getting Christmas Cards done and a few projects. I really like the way my sister in law Valerie's present turned out, but hate that way my other sister in law Sandy's is coming out. :( I'll try and get some pictures of Val's up. We had a wedding pow wow tonight. Trying to get the wedding invites down to a number that will fit the reception in church's fellowship hall. Also been working some Christmas decorations. Pictures soon. Meanwhile still waiting for the liver numbers to return normal. Still no school yet! Riding to town for the Dr. appointment was really rough on her.

My girl is in the hospital
Update - November 16th
My dear husband got a wonderful birthday present. Our daughter came home last night. It was a very long 5 1/2 days. We feel so glad that she is such a fighter and still here with us. She still has a long road ahead of her, but at least we are home. Hopefully I can get some stuff in the Art room tomorrow since I can't go to Hollie's for the day. I'm so behind on Christmas presents, cards and everything.
My 17 year old daughter is being admitted into the hospital tonight for Mono and hepatitis. I'll be off the air for a few days at lest. Please keep her in your prayers.

An off day.
We had an amazing day yesterday with a college visit for our baby girl. I think she feel in love with this college and we are so comfortable with the idea of her there. Now we just have to figure out how to pay for a school that cost more a year than we make. But we walked and walked and walked and walked and climbed stair and more stairs. After 3 weeks of being sick it really wiped me out. Today was just an off day. Hung with the gals, but only got 2 pages done, but being with them was such a blessing. Came home and took a nap. Still tired, but hopefully tomorrow I'll perk up cause my husband is having knee surgery in the morning. He is so ready to get this knee fixed, I'll be so glad to see him walking without pain again. I don't know if I'll have much time for about the next 8 day for any scrappin or cards, but who knows. I'm really excited about some of the new files that Penny Duncan has up, but almost thru the 1st quarter of my baby's senior year. Got so much scrappin to do. We order the cap and gown this week so it's time to start designing graduation announcements.

A little inspiration always helps.
Saw this adorable pumpkin on Happileigh Scrappin and knew I had to give it a try. I was at my friend Barb's house for a swarm day and Amanda said I wonder if you could to it with snowflakes. Yep you sure can and the ideas are endless. I have a feeling I'll be giving a few of these away as presents for Christmas. So much fun. :P
Pastor Appreciation Gift
Here is the gift and Card that I made for our Senior Saints Minister for Pastor Appreciation Month from our Small Group. He and his wife are the loveliest folks and it's been a rough year for them. He is in the hospital with cancer and not doing very well. The flowers and the pumpkin idea came from the awesome folks at SVG Cuts. If you order $9.98 worth of stuff by Tuesday the 13th you can get the Fall Mum Flower cuts for free. The Card template came from the gals over at Christmas with Cricut. If you haven't been following their blog, get over there and catch up. They have come up with some really amazing ideas. I've had so much fun checking that blog out every morning. The card came from Week 7, the snowman card. I've got go make the tea and lemonade for small group tonight.

More Christmas Cards.
Here are a couple of card I created yesterday. It was so nice to be able to just putz around the art room and experiment. It was so nice to have a quiet day when I felt good to do that. The first card is an angel from Stampin Up. I don't know what set. It is a friend's.
The 2nd card is the Poinsettias from Joys of the Season Cart at 2 1/2. I got the golden middles cut using the hide contour feature in Design Studio. Merry Christmas is from the Stampin Up set Cardinal Christmas. I punch it out using their punch and then found a similar scallop in Storybook Cart for the Shadow.

Excellence
I've got a houseful of teenagers in my house for a after Homecoming Party so I cut this out to help keep myself awake. The saying came from Brittney's Excellent WordArt2 . The Runner's are silhouette's from a photo of Cassie. I like how it turned out.

Really getting Creative
So today I've been under the "gun" with old man time. I left the house at 7 a.m. to head to my daughter's XC meet 2 1/2 hours away. I got to drive through really thick fog all the way. Yeah! Not! Got there for 15 minutes before the race. Then raced home through thunderstorms to try and get her ready for her Senior Homecoming Dance. (We had 1 hour for her to shower, fix her hair, & get dressed) On the way home we realized what Mom forgot at the store yesterday. Double stick body tape!!! So I had an idea! My ATG gun! It worked great. Who knew?PS if you need more adhesive alternative uses. A Zots Pop-Up Dot will pull a bee sting out of the skin. :)

The vinyl in my Daughter's Room
Here is the vinyl that I put up last night in my daughter's bedroom. I'll be gone for the next couple of days as I head to the Mayo Clinic for my Lupus Check up. I've got some stuff to color in the card for Christmas cards and I'll have my laptop to work on some vinyl layouts and cards while I'm up there. (Between Tests)

Tickled this worked so well!
I'm so tickled that this cut worked so well. The runner silhouette's are actually from photos of my daughter at a
Cross Country match. I cropped the photos (I used 2 different ones) in Print Shop using the freehand tool. I saved the pictures in a new file (important if you don't want to lose your originally photo). Then I trace the photo in Sure-Cuts-A Lot 2 and turned them into Blackout. I decided to put my words into the background. I put paper that has my daughter's school name on it. The paper comes from a wonderful little scrapbook store in Spring Valley, IL.
Here are some fun cards that I made using some Dustin Pike files.
The Beware card is for my friend Lauri's birthday on tuesday.
I haven't colored in forever and really enjoyed it this week. I'll have to make sure
I've got some coloring to do next week at Mayo's.

Shudder & Swing Cards
Here is two Christmas Cards I've made using some Penny Duncan's files. I really had a time with the first one. It started off so awful. I finally put it away for a day and then tore it apart and started over. The Swing Card has a manger cut off of the Craft Edge forum. I'm sorry I don't know whose it it.

A Child's Year
Cut some stuff out a few weeks ago when my friend Hollie got A Child's Year Cartridge. May a few cards out of them today.
Joe Cool
I love this card. I made it for a very special young lady named Sophie who turned 9 years old today.
The cut came from Mardenz. She does awesome stuff. I put the file onto a 12 x 24 mat so I could make it big.
The font is Dupay from computer.
